What Skinby is
Skinby describes what photos of your face look like and shares information from sources such as the FDA, the National Institutes of Health and the NHS website. It shows a visual resemblance, not a diagnosis. It is not medical advice, does not create a doctor and patient relationship, and does not replace a visit to a doctor. If you are worried about your skin, or something is painful, spreading, blistering, bleeding or not healing, talk to a doctor. For an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Who can use it
Skinby is for people aged 13 and over in the United States. If you are under 18, use it with a parent or guardian’s knowledge. Where Apple asks a parent to approve an app for a younger person, that approval comes from Apple, not from Skinby.
Using the app
- Use Skinby for yourself. Do not scan other people without their permission.
- Do not copy, reverse engineer or resell the app or the content in it.
- Skinby’s models, text and design belong to Skinby. The open datasets credited in the app belong to their authors under their licences.
No guarantees
Skinby is provided as it is. Results can be wrong, and the accuracy page says by how much and where it has not been measured. To the extent the law allows, Skinby is not liable for decisions made from the app, or for indirect or consequential losses, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, and then they apply as far as the law permits.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. If a change matters, the app will tell you. Continuing to use Skinby after a change means you accept it. Questions: support@skinby.app.
